We have a number of different job opportunities at Weathercock House. On the edge of Lambourn village Weathercock Stables offers a brilliant working environment, whether you are new to racing or have a large amount of experience working with racehorse we have something thing for everyone. We offer on site training and are keen to help people within ambition to excel up through the grades and achieve their goals.

We have purpose built accommodation on site, this includes individual and couples rooms all with Wi-Fi. We have 12 apartments that have their own double bed, tv and sofa, small kitchenette area and en-suite bathroom. There is also a large communal kitchen and dinning area and a laundry area. We can also help to find accommodation off-site if this is preferred.

Richard and Lizzie often host BBQs in the summer and evening drinks and nibbles for everyone after work in the owner room as well as visit to the local pub. This is a good opportunity to relax and unwind and enjoy the winners!

We are currently looking for full time riding staff. The normal daily routine would be to muck out 2 horses and then ride 4 lots. This job would require a competent rider with good sound knowledge of horses, preferably with some experience either in racing or hunting/eventing/show jumping. However we will offer training to those that do not have so much experience. Afternoons would include looking after your horses and general yard duties. There will be the opportunity to go racing with your horses and trips abroad with foreign runners.

We are also looking for a full time yard groom, this job will include mucking out as well as taking horses on and off the horse walker, parading horses for owners, assisting the head staff with horse being treated by the vet, turning horses out in paddocks and other general yard duties.

There is the opportunity for experienced riders to join the team as work riders, we would be flexible as to your requirements, whether it be one or two lots a day before work or four lots a morning everyday. Payment would be dependent on experience.

All full time jobs are paid above the NTF and minimum wage scale, there are also added bonuses, overtime, pool money and owners money.
